Setting the permanent packer using wire-line:
1- Assemble packer and setting tool to wireline
2- Run with controlled speed to required depth
3- Correlate depth using GR/ casing collar locator (CCL)
4-Activate setting tool to set slips and packer as follows:
4.1 Send electric current down the cable
4.2 Ignite the primer cord which generate high pressure gas
4.3 This gas pressure drives a piston
4.4 The piston applies a pull to inner mandrel, make the cones expand slips radially
4.5 Slips bites into host casing & the sealing element is squeezed to make seal.
5- Force is applied to break running tool shear screws, and retrieve running tool to surface.
6- Run in hole with tubing on seal assembly and latch them to seal inside of packer; meanwhile space out to land the tubing hanger into tubing head spool.
